CorCom’s General Strike on October 15

IMPHAL, Oct 10: The Coordinating Committee, CorCom, KCP, KYKL, Prepak, Prepak (PRO), RPF, UNLF & UPPK will observe National Black Day as on every October 15 of each year with effect from midnight till 6 pm in the evening and called a general strike restricting all movements during the aforesaid timing.

In a statement to the press, the CorCom stated all forms of business related transactions, happy celebration and any outdoor activities will be restricted however, it is relaxed for all those working for essential services including the press, fire and medical emergencies.

It’s been 63  years that in the year 1949, October 15, the “colonist India” forcibly annexed Manipur under a false merger agreement and to this day, the state has been reeling under their influence and power in various forms and affecting the lives of this free land.
