Support 18-hr General Strike

IMPHAL, August 28: Several organisation including UPF, IPSA, AMUCO, HERICOUN and NIPCO has pledged together to support the 18-hour General Strike spearheaded by UCM and AMUCO from the midnight of 29 August till 6 pm of 30 August.
In a separate press statement, The Public Club of Khurai Top Khongnang Makhong has also called for a support to the general strike.
A joint statement charged both the State and Central Governments for giving a free hand to the NSCN-IM and those involved in the kidnapping of Irungbam Irabanta Meitei and urged one and all to support the strike.
