Five year old girl found murdered

IMPHAL, August 14: In a barbaric act, a five year old girl has been found brutally murdered at Wabagai Tentha Thambal hillock which is located 7 kms north from Kakching police station.
The deceased girl is identified as Maibam Miranda alias Angangmacha, daughter of Jaykumar alias Enao of Wabagai Tentha Thambal village.
The victim was last escorted to her residence by a villager, namely Kala, 30, on August 12 at about half past noon.Her parents had left the house for work.
Her disappearance was reported on the same day at about 1.30 pm to the local police station. Since then , her whereabouts has been searched by the public of the area.
She was found without any clothing and hanged to a tree at a seed farm located atop Thambal Hillock. Her eyes were apparently gouged out and several scars were witnessed on her forehead. The body had signs of mutilation.
At present, the scene of the crime is being cordoned by the locals and is presumed that after arrival of the personnel of the Forensic Science Laboratory, the corpse will be collected.
