NAVAC adopt resolutions against abandoning place of posting

IMPHAL, October 20: The Nungba Area Village Authority Council (NAVAC) in its meeting held at the office of Nungba Village Authority has adopted certain resolutions to demand the state government for taking up necessary action against the erring officials for abandoning the place of posting for long period.
A press statement from NAVAC said irregularity of Nungba SDO at the station has caused hardships particularly to students’ community when requires to obtain even simple certificates thereby compelling the students to rush down to Imphal which incur huge expenditures.
In the statement, the village authority council demanded the state government to justify why necessary diet provisions under Social Welfare department are not provided to children of the area for more than the last six years.
"There is no existence of the integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) office in the area for many years with Child Dvelopment Project Officer (CDPO) and Cashier not visited the area,” it rued.
Furthermore, it also drew the immediate attention of the state government on the matter failing which it would resort to series of democratic agitation.
