Literary meet at CCpur

LAMKA, October 4: A valedictory function for the “District level literary meet for students, 2013” was held today at the YPA Hall located at Hiangtam Lamka, Churachandpur under the theme “Our role in nation building”.
The function was organized under the aegis of the SSA and RMSA and was attended by high ranking officials of the Education Department and representatives of civil society groups and organizations.
Speaking on the occasion, Phungzathang Tonsing, Minister of Health said that for the last three years, the district of Ccpur has been having centres for examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), which has been very helpful to the people of the district.
He further urged the gathering including the MDCs, District Adm officials that they must not forget their role in nation building.
Trophies, citations and cash awards for the winners in a competition held during the meet were also distributed.
