KANGPOKPI , October 9: In yet another illegal liquor drive along National Highway 2, Kangpokpi police led by its Officer Incharge L Vaiphei seized 464 litres of country made DIC illegal liquor at Keithelmanbi Lamkhai this morning at around 6:20 am in one Imphal to Kangpokpi bound passenger bus bearing Regd No MN01-2053.
The police team while conducting checking the passenger bus at Keithelmanbi Lamkhai seized the illegal items from the possession of Khwairakpam Tombi Devi (60) wife of (L) Kh Joy Singh, Thingujam Tombi Devi (70) wife of (L) Th Manglem and Sanasam Jamuna (38) wife of S Kumar Singh all from Awang Sekmai, according to Police source. The source further identified the driver of the vehicles as N Romi Singh son of N Kumar Singh of Nilakuthi. Later in the presence of volunteer of Kanggui Youth Union and Kanggui Women Welfare Organization desrroyed the illegal seized item.
