NHF lauds street vendor bill

IMPHAL, Sept 10: The National Hawker Federation (NHF) has in a press release lauded the historic Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Bill 2012 which will provide protection of livelihood rights, social security of street vendors, regulation of urban street vending in the country.
The press release further congratulated the four crore hawkers and street vendors of the country and other toiling masses whose sustained movements and unrelenting struggles had made the bill possible. It has further thanked all trade unions political parties and others whose cooperation has helped in passing the bill in the Parliament.
