Kuki Black Day invite to UNC irks Thadou students

IMPHAL, September 10 : The Thadou Students' Association (TSA), Imphal has raised strong objection over the invitation of the United Naga Council (UNC) for the Kuki Black Day observation to be held at Kangpokpi, Sadar Hills by the Observation Committee.
Ralph Haokip, president of TSA-Imphal questioned how an organisation which was mainly responsible in serving the 'quit notice' to the Kukis resulting in the brutal murder of hundreds of innocent Kuki villagers could be invited for the solemn occasion.
The Thadou Students Association requested those concerned to abstain from such unwanted actions 'which could hurt the sentiments of the general populace'.
