Irawat, a multi faceted leader: Dr Nara

IMPHAL, September 25: State Secretary CPI Manipur State Council Dr Nara on Wednesday stated that no one can negate the fact that Jana Neta Irawat was a true leader of the state who had charted out future images of the state.
He was speaking at a function observing the 117th Birth Anniversary of Jana Neta Irabot function 2013 organized by Irawat Celebration Committee (Thoubal, Wangkhem and Khangngabok) held at Thoubal Melaground Community Hall.
Dr Nara further said Irawat was a multi-faceted leader and people could not judge the personality of the leader and spread his ideology to people in one day informing that various discussion and awareness programme on Irawat and blood donation camps are being held in the month of September.
The present society is going directionless where hatred, politics, corruption and dishonest have filled it. Jana Neta was against such things instead he had dreamed and worked for farmers, poor and needy people and women of the state. The leader had always strived for a better Manipur, he noted.
Saying that the great leader had touched on every vital issue on financial, politics, art and culture, religion, sports, poverty and women, Dr Nara said Irawat was the first person who had stood tall for the integrity of the state and worked for the union of hill and valley people.
As part of the function, the observation committee presented simple gifts to elderly persons aged above 80 years.
Meanwhile, the Heirok Local CPI also observed the 117th Birth Anniv of Jana Neta Irawat in a function held at Heirok Part II Laimayum Lampak.
It was attended by chairperson Irawat Celebration Committee N Mangi where a march-pass competition was also held.
