Irawat birth anniversary held

IMPHAL, September 15: The Irawat celebration committee observed the 87th birth anniversary of communist leader Thokchom Bira at Irawat Sanglen today.
Floral tributes were offered to a statue of Irawat and to a portrait of Thokchom Bira at Irawat Sanglen today.
Speaking at the observation, Dr M Nara said the communist party of India will face all the issues in the state and the month long campaign was observed under the theme to save Manipur.
He continued that CPI will continue to fight against capitalism, crime against the women and various other issues of the state.
He further condemned the bomb explosion on September 13 at Khoyathong which killed several and injured several others.
