KSO Moreh clarifies

IMPHAL, July 22: The Kuki Students’ Organisation, Moreh Block has in a statement asserted that three of the five persons arrested with arms and ammunition at Khudengthabi check post by the 24 AR on July 19 were innocent and added that they are not related to the incident.
It identified the three as Shaktiman driver, S Thanga and students David Lhingdim and Manasheh Vaiphei respectively.
The executive members of the KSO Moreh block went to 24 AR to meet Major Hemanshu for inquiry regarding the arrest of the persons mentioned above and continued to add that the Major did not pay heed to the request despite of repeated request, it said.
As such, the KSO, Moreh block appealed to the law enforcing agencies especially 24 AR not arrest the innocent persons who had their own identity cards, it said.
