Sit in protest against the killing of Neena Devi

IMPHAL, May 11: Womenfolk and local club members of the Chingamakha Phura Makhong today staged a sit in protest at Chingamakha community hall against the killing of Brahmacharimayum Neena Devi by her own younger brother in law, Ph Brajamohan on the night of May 1. Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the protest, one meira paibi said that they condemned the killing of Neena and demanded that the State government should award capital punishment to the killer. She further pointed out that giving befitting punishment  to those guilty of committing crimes against women will be the only solution to stop the increase in crimes being committed against the women of the state.
