MPCC condoles Congress leader in Naxal attack

IMPHAL, May 26: Terming the incident of attack on a Congress convoy by Naxals resulting in to the death of 15 Congress workers and other 15 people as highly shocking and unfortunate, the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) observed a condolence at Congress Bhavan here today for the peace of the departed souls.
Addressing media persons, Gaikhangam, President MPCC said altogether 30 lives were claimed including Nana Kumar Patel, President of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) and his son Dinesh Patel; and Mahendra Kumar, an MLA in the unwanted incident.
MPCC strongly condemned the brutal killing of Congress leader, Congress workers and innocent people by anti-social and anti-national persons. This act of cowardice should be condemned by right thinking persons. Such incident should not repeat in future, he added and shared the grievances of the bereaved families.
