CCpur community leaders meet on recent hate induced incidents

LAMKA, May 17: Tribe/ community leaders of CCpur had a meeting with the people representative from the district including Minister T Phungzathang Tonsing, TN Haokip ex. minister and MLA of Saikot a/c Vungzagin Valte Parliament Secretary, GS Haupu MLA of Singat and officials of the district at the residence of the Minister at New Lamka deliberated upon the current issues threatening peace in the district, and unanimous decided that since no one has claimed responsibility over the hate incited incidents the incidents be treated as bogus.
The meeting resolved that the pamphlet being circulated in the district cannot be taken seriously.
“We will spare no efforts to find out those people who are creating unnecessary trouble in the district”, the meeting resolved.
It is also learnt that the government has announced Rs One lakh to anyone who can provide information of the incident which will lead to the arrest of the miscreants.
The meeting also resolved to treat the culprit(s) as anti-CCpur and not anti-one particular community and further decided that in case those involved surrender themselves they will be given amnesty as it is the first time and will be let off with an undertaking that they will not repeat such acts under a signed statement.
They further appealed for all community particularly the community mentioned in the leaflet not to panic nor feel threatened as as the peace loving CCpur are with them.
