IMPHAL, May 16: The Bharatiya Janata Party is continuing with its tirade against the Congress Government in the state. Speaking at a press conference, spokesperson Y Nilamani said the Congress government is anti-poor and is against the educated unemployed youths.
He continued, "There are 6.95 lakh educated unemployed youths enrolled with the Employment Exchange and around 4/5 lakh youth who are yet to enrol themselves with the Employment Exchange and working in small time jobs."
It is not possible that the government provide jobs to all the youths but the government can provide assistance to them and help them gain self-employment, he said.
He continued that the Congress government has managed to demolish all small time industries in the state in the past ten years and claimed that it is interested only in the recruitment of police/Manipur Rifles.
He further charged that the Congress government is uninterested in finding out the truth or the owners of the drugs being seized in the state in recent times and as such failed to hand over all the drug related cases to the CBI for investigation and has only handed over a few select cases.
