RPF ridicules “attack on SF cowardice act” statement

IMPHAL, April 23: The proscribed Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) has in a press release come out strongly against the statement of certain government representatives that violence can never bring solution and that the attacks on the security forces are acts of cowardice. The statement further said that the outfit and its armed wing PLA have never committed any acts of cowardice in its movement.

It has further said that the cowards are those who can betray their own motherland for their own personal goal and further identified a brave individual as one who loves his or her motherland and who can die for the land.

The statement raised questions over who is responsible for the 8983 individuals who have been killed and the 1528 killed in fake encounters since AFSPA was imposed in Manipur.

It said that even though the government has been procuring several high tech guns in the name of police modernization, the government had also announced that violence cannot bring solution, which is ironical.
