Police recue Nagaland government vehicle from lifters

IMPHAL,April 15: A Senapati police district team led by Sub-Inspector Apem Stone rescued a Nagaland government official Bolero (NL10-697)from the hands of vehicle lifters.The incident took place near the old Deputy Commissioner's junction at Senapati district headquarter, around 60 km north of Imphal around 4 pm of April 13,reports reaching here said.The said  java colour Bolero belongs to Deputy Commissioner's office,Headquarter Kohima and was reportedly lifted from a place near Kohima a few days ago,it said.

The police team also rounded up two youths who were involved in lifting vehicle from various parts of Nagaland.The arrested individuals are identified as A Lungtoiba alias John(24) son of Shanglou and Samuel alias Rangdon(23)son of Keng, both residents of Tumuyon Kullen under Senapati district. They have been been remanded to police custody till April 18 after being produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Senapati,sources added. The Nagaland police is likely to make a formal arrest of the accused persons.
