One killed by angry mob

IMPHAL, April 12: One person was killed by an angry mob on the ground that he was having illicit relations with a woman. The incident happened around 7 pm at Yairipok Koirom under Yairipok police station under Thoubal district when the mob found the duo in a 'compromising situation.'

According to a reliable source, the angry mob burnt down the house where the incident happened. The man was found dead at the spot of the fire. Police personnel    rushed to the spot and controlled the fire while additional police forces rushed to the spot to prevent any untoward incident in the area.

The body of the man has been picked up by the police and taken to the morgue to deposit the body. The identity of the man has not identified till the filing of this report.
