Edu Expo 2013 begins

IMPHAL, April8: The Edu Expo 2013 organized by LRS India, Imphal started today at Nupilal Memorial Complex.

Speaking to media persons at the expo Dr L Robindro, Managing director, LRS, India, Imphal said the expo is being organized with the main objective to demonstrate the outside educational institutions which have high proficiency and competence to the young students of the state.

"LRS has the aim to bring a change on the aspects of the present education system in Manipur and allow the students and guardians to choose their preferred trades on the basis of the prestigious institutions," he said.

19 stalls from Punjab, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu and Shillong are taking part in the two day expo. The stalls are represented by different colleges and other institutes, including four universities having the facilities of technical and management and nursing education.

He further said the LRS will take up the initiative to organize scholarships for the meritorious students.
