Another bout of indefinite highway blockade begins

IMPHAL, April 21: Manipur is set to be choked of its supply lines as the indefinite 'total bandh' of all the national highways leading to the state begins from Sunday midnight.

Several organizations have announced their support to the Zeliangrong students' sponsored 'total bandh' along the national highways demanding the safe release of Alice Kamei who is reportedly in the custody of  RPF/PLA.

All Zeliangrong Students' Union (AZSU), Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) and Zeliangrong Students Union, Manipur (ZSUM) said the 'total bandh' will continue as long as Alice Kamei is in the custody of the RPF/PLA. The Zeliangrong organizations had already called 48 hours bandh earlier and had carried out a series of sin-in protest demanding the release of the school girl.
