Locals stage sit in protest against blast

IMPHAL, Feb 21: Locals of the Luwangshangbam Awang Leikai staged a sit in protest today against the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast yesterday morning at around 6:20 am.
The IED had exploded along the National Highway 2 Imphal- Dimapur road in front of a Dispensary at Luwangshangbam Haotabi some 100 meters away from the Border Security Force headquarter Manipur Nagaland under Heigang police station Imphal East district.
Speaking to media persons, a local meira paibi said that they condemned the blast in the crowded area, and appealed to all concern not to repeat such type of violent incidents in the area again.
