Internet speed in state needs check: Th Lokeshwar Singh

IMPHAL, February 19:  Experts have to look on the issue of internet speed provided by different internet service providers in state. While companies have flocked into the state with promises of good internet speeds, they have failed to fulfill their promises, said Thokchom Lokeshor Singh, Speaker Manipur Legislative Assembly during the launch of Sahitya Thoupang Lup website “www.sathoulup.com”.

He continued that through the internet, we can promote our art, culture and tradition and expose it to the outside world.

It’s important to set-up more number of websites with state related information and try to promote the present situation of the state before the world, he said.

Sharatchan Thiyam expressed that Manipur is rich in art, culture, tradition, etc. Website plays an important role in exposing of the state to the Manipuri Diasporas, he said.

He further informed that the Sahitya Thoupang Lup was established in November 25, 2003 on the theme to display our culture, tradition etc of the state worldwide.
