Imchen must be charged with NSA : NSCN-K

DIMAPUR, Feb 19 : The NSCN-K has asked the government as to why its cadres arrested with arms have been booked under National Security Act (NSA) and why the same yardstick had not been applied on 'detained' Nagaland home minister Imkong I Imchen. Imkong I Imchen was earlier detained after Rs 1 crore 10 lakhs along with a cache of arms and ammunitions was found from his vehicle.

"The government should reply to the queries of NSCN-K before the polling day, less NSA should be made irrelevant from Nagaland state and henceforth, any NSCN-K cadre arrested with arms should not be booked under NSA," the NSCN-K said today.

Meanwhile, the NSCN-K said imposing of Indian election law is flatly rejected by the outfit because NSCN-K is not a party to the electioneering process.
