3 days long budget session not enough: Chaoba

IMPHAL, February 15, 2013:The BJP Manipur Pradesh today said that the 3-day scheduled budget session of Manipur assembly as announced by the Government of Manipur would not provide enough time for discussion on any matter in the House.
BJP Manipur Pradesh President Th Chaoba stated this while addressing a program to facilitate Dr K Manjor Singh who has newly joined the party along with his workers at the state BJP office here. Manjor contested in the 10th Manipur assembly polls from Kumbi constituency on a Trinamool Congress ticket.

Chaoba asked how could such short term budget session can be enough to discuss a development policy  and said the Opposition should boycott it.

He termed such session as a strategy to find ways to sanction money and get corrupted.

Chaoba said, “The policy of the Chief Minister O Ibobi who has planned to privatize the state Power Department clearly indicates that there is no good governance in Manipur.”

The BJP leader also said the party would field up its candidates in both the Inner and Outer Manipur in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections to oust the Congress from power.
