IMPHAL, August 5: The Communist Party of India has today said in a press release that the forceful action of the Govt of Manipur of building a RBI office at Mantripukhri is an anti people move taken up without the consent of the people settled in the area.
The press release said that the move of the Govt was undemocratic and unbecoming of a government and should not be repeated in the future.
The governance of the O Ibobi Singh is so disoriented that the land acquisition at the Mantripukhri was done without the knowledge of its own Revenue Minister, Th Debendro Singh, it said.
The press release further charged that the Chief Minister is acting like a dictator adding that he does what he wants thereby encouraging a place of lawlessness and continued further to add that the Govt is dishonoring democracy and the interest of the minority Muslim was subdued, it said.
It is further said that the CPI demands to stop the move to acquire land for the construction of RBI office.
