Jiribam Lecturer's Association expresses gratitude


JIRIBAM, April 12: The All Jiribam Contract Lecturer’s Association has expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and Education Minister for releasing salary for 13 months  and 16 months of the part time lecturers who have been changed to contract lecturers and the newly appointed contract lecturers respectively.

A statement of the association while expressed its gratitude and further appealed to the state Chief Minister and the Education Minister to visit the sub-division and inspect the educational institutes of the sub-division.

Since 1992, the lecturers who were appointed at Engagement Lecturers had been working as part time lecturers in the higher secondary schools with the belief that the government will one day regularize their posts, it said.

The statement has also expressed its belief that the government will not disheartene the teachers who had been waiting for 21 long years.

It has also appealed to the Government to release their salaries regularly and said that if the concerned authorities do their work properly than there is no need for the teachers to go after their extension service orders and salaries in the offices.
